Nottinghamshire County Council is leading a consultation on a proposed reorganisation of local government in the county.

The proposal has been widely covered in the local media and in essence would lead to a reduction in the number of councils responsible for services in the county (potentially with just one council responsible for all services outside Nottingham City).

Gedling Borough Council oppose the proposal.
