Gedling Borough Council (GBC) is now consulting on the Gedling Local Development Plan (LDP) which will shape future development in Gedling Borough by planning for new homes, jobs and infrastructure up to 2043. As well as providing land for new homes, the document also protects existing areas of employment, retail, community facilities, recreation and open spaces, nature conservation and other land uses. The LDP contains detailed policies to bring forward land for development and to help in the day to day assessment of planning applications.
There is now a six week period for anyone to make comments on the LDP running from 22 June until midnight on 3 August 2026.
