Gedling Borough Council have published the following notices pertaining to the mayoral election:

Notice of Election

Cllr Adam Wylie has resigned from Woodborough Parish Council.

Adam joined WPC during lockdown and as one of our younger members brought a different perspective to the table. We will miss his energy and straightforward approach to getting things done!

A vacancy is now created and as part of the legal process there is now an opportunity to request an election - please see GBC's notice of vacancy.

Woodborough Parish Council has adopted Gedling Borough Council's new members' Code of Conduct which brings in elements of the LGA's updated model code of conduct.

The full document can be read here.

Woodborough Parish Council has agreed a 5% increase to the precept in 2024/25.

Resident Village Hall fees will rise to £13 an hour from Monday to Friday and £15 an hour for use at the weekend. This is the first increase for 2 years.

All other fees charged by the Parish Council will be unchanged.

Thank you to all who attended the public meeting held on 28th October.

To support Woodborough's case for more investment in flood resilience measures, two points were made very strongly:

  • please can everyone whose property was affected by flood water fill out the Gedling form and return it to Gedling BC as detailed, or to the Parish Council via the Village Hall letterbox. (This is the form on green paper that was handed out at the meeting). If your neighbours were affected, please encourage them to fill out the form too. Investment is made in the geographies where most properties would benefit, so if damage in Woodborough goes under reported then - put simply - we lose out.
  • investment in flood resilience schemes is always a political decision, so please contact our MP Mark Spencer. Ask for a meeting, or write him a letter or email and explain how you have been affected by flooding. Details for Mark Spencer are as follows:
